Start with a gradual increase in resistance over a 5:00 period. Set the resistance so the pads just begin to engage the wheel. The warm up should be done in a sitting position with 1/4 turns every minute. Then begin increasing your pedal cadence to double your normal speed. After 2:00 increase 3/4 to 1 complete turn, stand up and pedal for :30. Sit, drop back to your previous cadence and resistance for another 2:00, and then repeat the increase and stand again. Rotate those two formats for a total of 20:00, and then begin cooling down by repeating the 5:00 warm up but in reverse, decreasing the resistance 1/4 turn every minute.
